Overview

Appliance Installation in Chicagoland

Buying a new appliance is the easy part. Getting it installed correctly — with tight water connections, secure gas lines, proper electrical hookups, and accurate leveling — is where most homeowners hit a wall. Big-box delivery crews are often rushed, undertrained, and unwilling to handle anything beyond a basic drop-and-plug scenario. If your new dishwasher needs a modified cabinet opening, your gas range requires a flexible connector upgrade, or your refrigerator water line needs to be routed from a distant supply, those crews will leave the appliance sitting in your kitchen and hand you a referral card.

CrestLine Home Pro fills that gap for homeowners across Chicagoland's North Shore, Northwest Suburbs, and Chicago neighborhoods. We install every major household appliance — dishwashers, gas and electric ranges, wall ovens, over-the-range and built-in microwaves, washer and dryer sets, refrigerator water and ice maker lines, and garbage disposals — with the care and precision that ensures a long, trouble-free service life.

Dishwasher installation is our most requested appliance service. We remove your old unit, verify the drain hose high-loop or air-gap configuration, connect the water supply with a braided stainless steel line, secure the unit to the countertop or cabinet, and run a full cycle to check for leaks before we leave. If your cabinetry needs minor modification to fit a new size, we handle that on the spot.

Gas range and oven installations require extra attention to safety. We use approved flexible gas connectors, apply proper thread sealant, test every joint with a combustible gas leak detector, and verify that the anti-tip bracket is secured to the floor — a critical safety requirement that is skipped in a surprising number of installations. For electric ranges, we verify the outlet type (three-prong versus four-prong), swap the cord if necessary, and confirm the circuit breaker rating matches the appliance draw.

Over-the-range microwave installation is a two-person job that involves mounting a heavy unit to a wall bracket and upper cabinet while aligning the exhaust vent. We verify stud locations, install the mounting plate, drill the vent opening if switching from recirculating to exterior venting, and ensure the unit is level and the turntable clears the bracket.

Washer and dryer hookups cover both traditional and stackable configurations. We connect hot and cold supply hoses, verify the drain standpipe height, level the washer to prevent walk and vibration, and for gas dryers, connect the gas line and test for leaks. We also install dryer vent duct with rigid or semi-rigid aluminum — never the vinyl flex duct that is a leading cause of dryer fires.

Refrigerator water line installation involves running a quarter-inch copper or braided supply line from the nearest cold water source to the fridge location, installing a self-piercing or dedicated saddle valve, and testing water flow and ice maker operation. We route the line neatly along baseboards or through cabinets so it stays protected and accessible.

Every appliance installation includes removal and haul-away of the old unit if requested, a post-install test run, and a walkthrough so you understand the new appliance controls and maintenance requirements.

Our Process

How Appliance Install Works

01

Schedule & Prep

Tell us the appliance type, brand, and model. We confirm connection requirements (gas, electric, water), verify your home's existing hookups, and schedule a convenient install window.

02

Remove Old Unit

We disconnect and remove your existing appliance safely, including shutting off water, gas, or electrical supply. We can haul away the old unit or leave it for your disposal.

03

Install & Connect

The new appliance is set in place, leveled, and connected to all supply lines. Gas joints are leak-tested, water connections use braided stainless lines, and electrical hookups are verified against circuit ratings.

04

Test & Walkthrough

We run a complete test cycle — wash cycle for dishwashers, burner ignition for ranges, water dispense for refrigerators — and walk you through controls, filter locations, and maintenance tips.

CrestLine installed a new dishwasher, over-the-range microwave, and gas range all in one visit. They handled the gas line connection, venting, and water supply. Everything works perfectly and they hauled away the old appliances. Saved us from dealing with three separate installers.
