We upgrade to five-and-a-quarter-inch or taller profiles that anchor the room visually and stand up to daily wear. We remove the old baseboard, repair any drywall damage behind it, install the new profile with construction adhesive and a pneumatic finish nailer, and fill and caulk every joint before painting.

Window and door casing upgrades make an outsized impact for a modest investment. Replacing plain clamshell casing with a craftsman-style flat stock and header cap, or with a traditional fluted casing and rosette block, instantly updates the character of a room. Chair rail and wainscoting projects add formality and wall protection to dining rooms, hallways, and staircases. We install solid chair rail profiles at the standard 32-to-36-inch height, and we build recessed-panel, flat-panel, beadboard, and board-and-batten wainscoting from layout through final paint. Every panel is measured to divide the wall evenly, and stile and rail joints are glued and pinned for long-term stability.

All trim work includes wood filler, caulking, sanding, and a coat of primer so the finished product is ready for your painter — or we can apply the final paint coats ourselves for a true turnkey result.
